His Mafia Prince

Chapter 134: I Crave My Alpha

(ARLO)

Miles dies in my dream.

The agony and pain of the dream have me jolting awake in cold sweat. I feel frantic to know where he is. The thought that he might truly be dead dreads me. Did he die in the accident? O thought he was alive. So many things happened in the blur, most of which I don’t remember.

I seem to remember a moment after the SUV crashed into us. But that could just be a memory. I remember Miles stroking my hair, promising to keep me safe. In that instant, I trusted him wholly. I liked the feel of his arms stroking me gently at that moment. It was comforting. His gentle voice and assurance eased something in me.

But was I dreaming or that’s an actual memory?

The smell of antiseptic fills my nose. I’m in a dark room that doesn’t seem like Miles’ room back in Sasha’s mansion. I also get memories of the pain I felt when I remember the accident. I guide my fingers down to my stomach and graze over a small incision. Did I have surgery? Why would I have surgery?

Some movement at the door catches my attention. A young nurse approaches me, looking distracted. She notices I’m awake and smiles as she inches closer. "How are you feeling?" she asks, fiddling with an IV bag next to my bed.

I shake my head. "I don’t know. Am I in the hospital?" I ask. It however is a dumb equation because I already see her in scrubs. That should tell me where I am.

"Yes." She smiles, pouring me a glass of water. "Your alpha brought you in. You were involved in an accident."
