Chapter 20 It’s Really Too Inconsiderate
In the middle of the night, a piece of Black Jade, hanging on a red string, floated eerily in the air, crossed over the high walls of the Yun Family, through the dense flower bushes, and arrived beneath the window of Yun Qi's room.
Hu Yuying had taken her revenge, and the resentful energy that had been stagnant in her body for hundreds of years dissipated, making the entire Ghost City feel much lighter.
Yet, she didn't dare to knock on the door or the window, her mind filled with the scene of Yun Qi beating her up that day. So, she obediently tucked herself under the window.
Yun Qi had bathed and changed early on, her little feet stepping in slippers, escorted to her room by the maid.
The maid tucked her in with a blanket, drew the curtains, and only then closed the door from outside.
In the middle of the night, Yun Qi immediately threw off the blanket and jumped out of bed, knocking on the window, her young voice cool, "Come in."
The voice of a human child sounded soft and tender, and because of waking up in the middle of the night, her speech was slurred with a bit of humor.
But Hu Yuying couldn't laugh at all; obediently, she floated in dragging the red string, emerged from the Black Jade, transforming into the appearance of a bride in red, standing before Yun Qi.
"Did you get your revenge?" Little Dumpling's eyes sparkled brightly.
