Julius having lived the life of an office worker in his previous life was not averse to the piles of paperwork, but his work put all those in the court to shame, he could peruse a document in seconds and point out mistakes, or give suggestions on how it could be redone for greater efficiency.
Other times he’d just need to confirm the contents before signing it into existence.
As this dance of paperwork carried on, his mind turned back to the floating interface before him.
He’d just spent all of his tech points to upgrade his nations technological level, and the greatest evolutions would come in a few specific ways.
The first of which being thanks to the acquisition of paper and banking even in their infancies, the empire could begin to setup a more modern economy allowing for the purchase of goods and services using notes rather than coins that are heavy and difficult to carry around all the time.
The second would be the introduction of a new calendar, which would not alter the existing number of days in each month but would instead unify the calendar under his national identity, with the month names that were varied depending on region right now, instead being renamed to fit a proper 12 month format that would include the names of former emperors and even influential figures of the current empire.
Then the naming of the seasons themselves, such that Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter came to be which previously only Winter and Summer were publically known.
Later when he’d introduce the new calendar to Serena he lied in the claim that July was named after himself, while September was listed to be a mix between her own name and one of the old emperors of his lineage.
