We were the final ship to pull into the port, but on our arrival Roserun, Bridget, Lunan, and Aquitanian people all were present to greet their returning lord.
At the forefront was Julius’s retainers forming a military line with the Praetorians formed up behind them.
The cheering crowds behind them all clamoured to see the returning Lord, and for the Carthaginians a glimpse at their Queen who saved them from annihilation.
The majority of the ship workers disembarked and began shoring up the rigging lines to secure the ship to the port, when the lady came up from below deck with Miri walking alongside as her attendant.
The pair walked the deck till they reached Zeff and Julius.
Upon meeting they split, Miri taking Zeff’s hand, and Julius offering his own to the Queen.
With the final pairs walking down the ramp and onto the port the cheering of the crowds grew greater.
The Queen in exile had long since abandoned her desire for the title, but for now she’d have to remain at least to her people as their queen for the sake of keeping their loyalty tied to her and by proxy Julius.
As the pair split off upon reaching the front of the crowd, Julius began greeting his retainers and passing along some quick messages of what was going to becoming next right away.
