Chapter 214: Unusual Symptoms

AWE Interiors, CEO Office.
Evelyn sighed, talking with the private investigator they had hired to find Sophia. Frustration and fatigue were evident on her face as she leaned back in her chair and ran a hand through her hair. "Alright. Please inform me if you get any clues."
Ending the call, she sighed out loud. They had hired so many people searching for Sophia, from Damien’s and Ronan’s alliances to police officers and private agents all over the world, but she was nowhere to be found. It felt as though that woman had disappeared from the world, and it was getting on everyone’s nerves.
"Ma’am," a knock on the door interrupted Evelyn, and she hummed, allowing the staff member to enter. Walking closer, the staff member passed the tablet and requested, "Can you look through these outlines? We have made all the changes you pointed out in the morning meeting."
Evelyn took the tablet and went through the designs. A frown tugged at her lips as she skimmed through the outlines for their new project.
"Did you really make all the changes?" Evelyn questioned, looking up from the screen.
The designer gulped nervously and nodded in response. Evelyn had been in a bad mood for a few days in a row now, and her department faced most of her wrath.
"How many times should I tell you that minor details are important?!" Evelyn scolded out loud. "If we use this many lamps around the room, wouldn’t it take extra space?"
The designer bowed in apology. "We will cut down and also change the location."
Evelyn sighed and moved to the next outline, pointing out the seating arrangements. "This layout doesn’t consider the space needed for movement. It will be too cramped."
