The Billionaire's Rental Wife Is A Hot Shot

Chapter 105: Trapping Sabrina

"What is she doing here?" Avery growled, taking a step forward and standing in front of Evelyn.

Natalie and Fredrick glanced at each other while Sabrina stood behind, her expression neutral, unlike the anger she always carried when facing their family, especially Zevian and Evelyn. Fredrick stepped forward, now a meter from where Avery stood, and looked at Evelyn on the bed.

"How are you feeling, Evelyn?" He asked, trying to distract but knew better than anyone else that he couldn’t avoid it for longer.

Evelyn looked at him, his expression one that conveyed he was here to ask for something. She then glanced at Natalie, her eyes falling on Sabrina for a second before she spoke to her sister-in-law "Why isn’t she behind the bars yet?"

Natalie didn’t have an answer for Evelyn’s question, torn between the choices and the people on either side of this situation. Taking a deep breath, she met Evelyn’s questioning eyes and replied, "She is here to apologize."

Evelyn raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised or rather disappointed with what Natalie was trying to do. Leaning back on the raised bed, she asked, "So you want me to forgive the person who tried to kill Zevian?"

"No, it’s not what-"

"Your brother might mean nothing to you but it’s not the case for me, Natalie." Evelyn cut whatever nonsense Natalie wanted to use to convince her. When their eyes met again, she continued, "I won’t leave anyone who tried to kill my man. And not specifically someone who had been hurting him for so long."

"My target wasn’t Zevian!" Sabrina had the guts to speak, her words causing Avery to grit her teeth. This woman still had the nerve to argue!

"But you did crash into the car he was in," Evelyn replied, glaring at Sabrina standing at the door.

Before Sabrina could further argue, Damien and Lucius entered the sight, standing right in front of the door, leaving no room for her to flee. Following him was a team of police officers, with two woman cops all ready to catch the culprit whose lawyer had argued she wasn’t driving the car that night and proved her innocence.
