Chapter 59: Alpha Killian Of The West Wood Pack
Reana didn’t trust those powerless fools to have his back, not when they just stood there watching as their own comrades were snatched from them. Her pack members could never be so useless, Reana thought.
Suddenly, she saw Ryder make a dash for the monster that was about to snatch another wolf. Using wolves as an elevating platform, he stepped on them as he raced toward the monster.
Astonished by the guts of a powerless human rushing towards it, the monster cackled with glee, envisioning how it’d have fun tearing the stupid human apart and wrapping his intestines around those entertaining wolves’ necks.
But the monster’s enjoyment was short-lived as Ryder leaped into the air and landed on its back. In a heartbeat, he grabbed the monster’s wings. Before the monster realized something wasn’t right, it felt the sudden excruciating pain of its wings being torn off.
The creature let out a raw, deafening screech as it stumbled, its balance shattered, and Ryder took advantage of the momentary distraction to deliver a crushing punch to its spinal cord, sending the monster crumbling to the ground.
Those on the hill gasped, eyes wide like saucers. It was simply unbelievable. Earlier, they had thought it was just luck, but now, they finally admitted Ryder got skills.
His strength even in a human’s form was too overpowered. How about in his wolf form?
As for Reana, her eyes narrowed as she watched him snatch the monster’s head from its neck and tossed it towards its companions. That was a provocation.
The sudden turn of events stunned the wolves of the West Wood Pack as they halted their attacks to watch the stranger.
