Tenebrous Wolf

Chapter 59: Debut Performance

Klaus felt a little anxious. After all, he was about to face several death row inmates, men desperate enough to kill for a chance at survival.

Regardless, he stepped through the door and entered the white room. The moment he did, the door sealed shut behind him, cutting off his only escape route.

There was no turning back now. Only two outcomes remained: either he would die, or his enemies would.

Taking a deep breath, he unsheathed his sword with a sharp metallic hiss. The sound was unsettlingly crisp.

Steeling himself, he lifted his gaze just as the opposite door slid open, allowing several figures to step inside.

The five condemned men who entered were panting, their faces pale with fear. Though Klaus was much younger, their wariness was unmistakable. Some of them were even old enough to be his father, yet they were afraid of a teenager despite the fact they were holding guns.

It wasn’t due to some overwhelming aura or oppressive force. No, they simply understood the situation.

They were going to die.

This was their execution. Their final reward for their sins.
