He could feel them watching; silently, scrutinizing, judging. Strangers he neither knew nor acknowledged, assessing him as if he were some specimen under a microscope.

This was precisely why he never wanted to be in the spotlight, not even for a fleeting moment.

Klaus exhaled quietly, sealing away his unease, and stepped forward.
A few seconds later, he stood in front of Sergeant Griffon, who gave him a quick once-over before speaking in an emotionless tone.
