Chapter 269 - 270 The Start of Mating season
As Ethan’s [Lightning Cloak] faded a smirk formed on Edith face.
"Looks like you’re running out of juice already," she said, her body still crackling with lightning.
Ethan took a deep breath, steadying himself. "Don’t count me out just yet, I’m just getting started"
Edith raised her hand, summoning a bolt of lightning that arced toward Ethan.
He quickly dodged, casting [Lightning Bolt] in response. The two attacks collided in midair, creating a burst of sparks that lit up the training area.
"You’re not bad," Edith muttered, forming another spell. This time, she summoned a swirling orb of lightning above her head and hurled it at Ethan.
Ethan countered by summoning his [Lightning Spear] again, throwing it directly at the orb. The spear pierced through the attack, dissipating it in a flash, but lost momentum before reaching Edith.
Ethan knew this wasn’t Edith peak, at the entrance exam she made lightning fall from the sky, if she was to do that now it would require him to drain all his Mana on a barrier and she would win, but she didn’t.
Edith placed her hands together stepping back and casting a wide blast of lightning that spread out like a net.
’Shit...is she using me to test new spells’ Ethan muttered under his breath, activating a barrier spell.
The attacks was deflected but it forced him to use up more Mana and soon he would run out.
