’You seriously think I’m ready to be a father, dude. I’m 18, and I’m going to reject the offer if it does come up,’ Ethan muttered as he and Maria finally arrived at the door, and it was opened.
As Ethan stepped through the grand entrance, his breath caught in his throat. The inside of the palace was even more stunning than the outside. The floor was made of smooth, polished marble that seemed to glow under the light of enormous chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.
The chandeliers were covered in lots of little crystals, making the room sparkle like stars were shining inside.
The walls were decorated with big, colorful clothes, and there were also large paintings of the Royal family, showing serious faces that seemed to watch everything in the room; among the pictures, Ethan saw Isabella with the queen and her sister.
Between the paintings, big mirrors made the room feel even bigger.
In the middle of the room was a wide staircase, covered in soft red carpet. The handrails on the sides were made of dark wood and carved with pretty patterns. At the top of the stairs, a balcony looked over the whole room, with thin railings that looked delicate and fancy.
The room smelled faintly of flowers, with vases of white lilies and roses placed on tables around the room. The tables were made of smooth wood that gleamed in the light. In the corners of the room stood statues of dragons, lions, and birds, all carefully carved and looking almost real.
The ceiling was painted with pictures of angels and clouds, making it feel like the sky was above them. The room was so big that Ethan felt tiny standing there. Everywhere he looked, there was something beautiful to see. It was clear this place was made queens, and nothing was left out to make it feel special.
