Reborn in the Enemy's Embrace

Chapter 243

I couldn’t help but glance at Dexter. When Juliet pretended to be Sophia, I wasn’t really worried.

Only someone as gullible as Damien would fall for it... But when even Damien didn’t believe Juliet, I realized just how lacking her disguise skills were.

Peter exploited Juliet by using her to impersonate the supposed reincarnation of Sophia to deceive Damien and Dexter. However, Juliet’s lack of acting skills and low IQ were ultimately detrimental to the plan.

Given Peter’s intelligence, one would assume that he would refrain from making such a foolish error. Surprisingly, he allowed Juliet to proceed with it nevertheless.

Linda also mentioned that Peter was a kind person. He supported Sophia’s parents and was the one who looked out for Sophia.

Upon reflection, it appeared that Peter might have been acting as a whistleblower. It seemed he intentionally allowed someone with a low IQ like Juliet to attract our attention. He wanted to disclose the information beforehand, showing that there were multiple ’Sophia’ within the organization.

I found myself subconsciously glancing at Dexter, nervously reaching for his hand. If it were Juliet, there would be nothing to worry about.

But what if there truly was another Sophia? Sophia herself was an experimental subject, and her identical twin with the same gene could be even more alike.

"I want to see her," Dexter declared, expressing his desire to meet that "Sophia."

My fingers stiffened for a moment, and then I gradually released Dexter’s wrist.

Nancy smiled and gestured for Dexter to follow her. "Let’s go."
