It was surprising how quickly Juliet found a way out.
"Follow us." Juliet cast a warning glance toward Zion and me.
I followed Juliet closely and observed her every move. How did she manage to pull it off? Did she raise her IQ to convincingly impersonate Sophia?
"This way." Juliet could always find the mechanism quickly and lead us through each room with ease.
"Why did you get separated?" Zion asked Damien tentatively.
Damien glanced at me. "I was concerned that they might struggle to find their way out."
Juliet snorted coldly and remained silent. Eventually, she led us to the vent in a short time.
"The wooden floor isn’t strong enough. If we destroy it, we might be able to reach the 15th floor," Juliet said as she stamped on the floor. It was clearly a later addition, not a solid floor slab. Damien and Zion dug a hole in the ground that was just big enough for one person. It was completely dark down there, and they were unsure what was inside.
"This is the elevator shaft. Let’s tie our clothes together and use them to descend to the 15th floor." Damien threw a lightning rod down. It seemed like they found new equipment on this floor. It took quite a while for the lightning rod to finally touch the ground. However, it became clear that there was an exit on the 15th floor, which could be reached by jumping.
"Who will go down first?" Damien inquired.
Then, he looked at me nervously. "Do you dare to go down?"
