Chapter 302: Jackson is as good as dead
At the top of one of the most secluded hills in the country, a few figures stood around the wide circle, drawn with blood. They chanted some ancient language under their breaths, yet their eyes were blank. A few more circles were drawn within it and in the middle was a closed old coffin.
Watching this from the sidelines, Quentin smirked in satisfaction.
"Quentin..." Dustin ground his teeth, bound by a black chain on the side under the tree. "You will not get away from this. Do you think Jackson will let you off this time?"
"Jackson, huh?" Quentin slid his eyes to the corner. "Will he even survive the night?"
He slowly peeled his eyes from Dustin to the horizon that was slowly becoming clear. "Once the sun has risen, my queen will awaken. If that happened, Jackson would disappear from the face of the earth... forever."
Dustin’s breath hitched, clasping his hands tightly. He wiggled his body violently, screaming his lungs out. But no matter how much he yelled and begged the people around the circle to stop, they weren’t listening to him.
Earlier tonight, when Dustin returned, he immediately reported the situation to Jackson and even to Fil. His surprise that Fil regained her memories shocked him, but at the same time, they didn’t have plenty of time to idle and process their own sentiments.
Fil and Jackson had to rush out to stop whatever Quentin’s planning tonight. They left Dustin to recover and also to look after her family. But alas...
Dustin slowly gazed up at the people surrounding the circle. Bitterness shone in his eyes, blaming himself for not being strong enough to protect the people he should’ve protected.
The people around the circle were the individuals who were important to Fil: Irene, Simon, Elijah, Elise, and even Kenzo. For some reason, Marianne was also there, wearing nothing but her nightdress.
"What is going to happen to them now, my lord?" Suddenly, a woman’s voice caressed their ears.
