The Devil's Good Girl

Chapter 264: She’s my wife. Can you kill her?

"You will not ruin me, Alicia, and neither will she."

[PRESENT TIME]

Quentin sat on the edge of the bed with his button-down blouse opened. He looked back at the bed and smirked as his eyes landed on Shanaiah.

"What an interesting memory," he said before he got up to get dressed.

After bumping into Shanaiah, the woman suddenly grabbed him and kissed him. Quentin went along with her since she was the person he wanted to meet. One thing led to another and once they finished, he put her into sleep just to peek through her memories.

He simply wanted to know more about Fil.

Who would have thought he would see more than just Fil, but also Shanaiah’s deepest and darkest secret?

"What a poor woman," he commented as he wore his blazer, eyes on the woman on the bed. "She believed it was her who did the crime. But she’s only a puppet and is meant to take the fall if things get out of hand. Humans... they’re always so interesting. Filomena always finds interesting people to surround herself with."

Quentin sighed, thinking about the main perpetrator of the crime. "Marcus Arkwright. I should visit him as well. He seems more suited for my plans than Vincent Hale."

Shanaiah’s own memory was hazy to her because of the powerful drug Marcus injected into her that could almost alter a person’s memory with enough confusion. Shanaiah was vile to the core, but she wasn’t smart. Hence, when she woke up in the hotel room with a dead body in the bedroom, her confusion immediately led her to believe it was all her doing.

The first people she called were her trusted friends, Marcus and Vincent, subsequently tying Vincent into this mess. As for Marcus, it was according to his plans.
