The Devil's Good Girl

Chapter 212: My name does sound better if it came from your lips.

In the end, they still took the man to the emergency to make sure he was fine. The stranger surprisingly agreed and didn’t make a huge fuss about it. He didn’t even talk to agree. All he did was nod.

"I called Olivia," Kenzo uttered as he joined Fil in the corner of the emergency. "I told her we got into a little road accident and that we can’t make it."

Fil smiled subtly. "You should’ve called the people waiting for us at the site."

"I already did. Just thought I should inform Liv about it." Kenzo snapped his eyes on the bed where the stranger was seated while a doctor was checking on him. "Is he okay?"

"So far," she said, rocking her head in understanding. "He’s just... weird."

"He is weird, but I also almost killed him."

Fil glanced at him. "It wasn’t your fault. He suddenly turned up in the middle of the road. It’s a good thing you were already slowing down because he could’ve gotten hit by anyone."

"Yeah, and that’s why I’m so grateful," he returned sarcastically. "Of all the cars on that road, he ended up showing up in front of ours."

"I don’t know what to say, Ken," Fil sighed as she shook her head. "All I know is that it’s a good thing he’s not that hurt. Come on. The doctor is done checking on him."

Kenzo and Fil marched to the bed where the stranger was, asking the attending about the man’s condition. Fortunately, the doctor reassured them the man was fine and he probably just had a mild concoction.

"Is that so?" Fil heaved a sigh of relief. "That’s great news."
