Chapter 199: Don’t make me hate you
"You shouldn’t have gotten too close, Filomena. But you did, and it’s your fault for touching a part of me you shouldn’t have. Take responsibility because I’m not letting you shred my heart just as much as you pleased. I’m not Vincent and I won’t chase after you. I’ll make you come to me and beg me on your knees."
Fil balled her hands into a tight fist, knowing full well he had decided. Again, Fil felt choked and trapped. It was nauseating. This was what she felt three months ago. However, putting that aside, Fil had to keep a level head.
Marcus smirked maliciously as an unforgiving glint flickered across his eyes. "Do you know how I planned to do it? I’ll ask Elise’s hand and marry her. On our wedding night, I’ll purposely call out your name, which will be the start of her nightmare. I’ll keep taking other women home, let her hear their moans, and then apologize to her until she forgives me. And I’ll do it again."
"By the time she asks for a divorce, she’ll hate you just as much as she hates me," he added with a smug look on his face. "I don’t care, but I’m sure you care."
"You’ve lost your mind, Marcus," she hissed, grabbing his arm and dragging him to the kitchen. The latter raised his brows, letting her drag him around.
Fil simply turned off the stove and then continued to drag him back to the living area. She picked up his coat and keys, tossing it to him. She only picked up her things, still clinging to him as they put on their shoes.
"Are you going to take me home?" he joked as he put his shoes on, only to receive a glare from her.
"You’re not sleeping here. Come on." Fil grabbed his arms and pulled him up. She was unsure if that was her strength alone, or if he was just letting her drag her around. It didn’t matter, though. She dragged him with her until she locked the door and they were out of the apartment.
Marcus was smiling as if he didn’t mind if he wouldn’t have to stay over. "I’ll take you home?"
