Chapter 188: Their 3 months in a nutshell

Fil’s original plan was to use all her vacation leaves for the year. She was a diligent worker and Olivia, her boss, always told her to rest and have a vacation. However, since Fil’s client at the moment was Jackson, the latter offered a better idea.
Instead of a month’s leave, he offered to give her some work abroad.
She could work while away from the office and still do what she planned to do. Most importantly, she wasn’t obligated to return to the office in a month. As long as the progress in the Solana Project was reaching its schedule, it shouldn’t be a problem.
It was a win.
Hence, after the one-month trial of the setup as the lead engineer of Solana and a consultant to their other projects, she was given another two months. So far, her life had quieted down, and she was able to travel abroad with Jackson under the guise of work. Although it was honest work, they would go on dates and sneak into each other’s hotel rooms.
"Isn’t today my party?" Elijah looked at his mother in dismay while peeling some potatoes. "If today is to celebrate me, why am I in the kitchen peeling potatoes?"
"Elijah, stop complaining and finish those." Irene, his mother, cast him a warning look. "Look at your sister and Jackson. They just returned late last night, but they were still helping."
Elijah scrunched up his nose at Fil and Jackson, who were sitting in the dining, preparing the ingredients. Both of them were tearing up while cutting onions.
"Finish them. Your father and I need to go to the market." Irene said while taking off her apron. She then pointed at Elijah one last time. "Behave yourself."
Elijah frowned deeply as he watched his mother leave the kitchen. Unlike her glared at him, Irene cast Fil a smile and even patted Jackson’s shoulder because they were literally crying.
