The Devil's Good Girl

Chapter 163: Now cheers to that

It was no doubt Vincent was a crappy boyfriend and fiance, but Fil couldn’t deny that he was once her good friend. The two of them smiled at her response, making her shake her head.

"Don’t have any weird thoughts about that," she warned, facing the elevator door. "It doesn’t mean we’re okay. I’m probably just in a great mood tonight, but later, I’ll hate you again."

Vincent chuckled. "You always hate me."

Fil glanced back at him, and he shrugged. At the same time, the elevator door rang.

"Let’s go back," he jerked his chin forward. "And you don’t have to deny it. I know."

"I didn’t hate you until recently," she clarified as she walked out of the elevator while he walked beside her. "If I do, I wouldn’t put up with your attitude."

"You put up with my attitude, but you also scold me every so often."

"That’s because you’re being dumb."

Vincent rolled his eyes, making her want to explain herself further. However, Fil bit her tongue and stopped.

"I’m not falling for this," she pointed a finger at him. "If you think I always hated you, then so be it. I’m vengeful."

Fil clicked her tongue at him, resuming her steps, and left him behind. Vincent let out a defeated chuckle.
