The Devil's Good Girl

Chapter 105: Low

Jackson was able to fix everything with a "work, sorry about that. Shall we start the meeting?"

Everyone in the Solana Project proceeded with the meeting in the clinic, with Fil leading the client meeting. It was odd and seemed unprofessional, but they proceeded with it anyway. Fil, despite her worries, did her job exceptionally and professionally. No one raised a question about her cheek, nor did they question Elise, who offered her an ice pack amid the discussion.

"I see. Now that is reassuring," Jackson nodded, sitting idly on the other bed next to Fil’s. "So, there’s nothing I should worry about?"

"We value this project just as much as you, Mister Sisson," Fil offered a smile as she put down her ice pack. "So, you do not have to worry. The groundbreaking will be held on schedule, and the construction—"

"And the remaining residents?" Jackson tilted his head to the side.

"Half of them had already left, while we’ve already found a place for the rest." This time, Olivia jumped into the conversation. "Rest assured. Once the construction starts, all of them have already moved out."

"Alright, then!" Jackson stood up, smiling. "I guess that concludes the meeting."

Everyone smiled back at him, secretly sighing in relief. They also stood, ready to walk him out of the building out of politeness. However, just as they reached the door, they stopped.

"Mister Sisson," Fil called, making everyone look back at her curiously. "Can I... can I have a word with you?"

Jackson arched a brow while the rest furrowed their brows.

"Sure, Miss Lovin," he smiled, casting Olivia and the rest a look. "You don’t have to walk me out."
