The Devil's Good Girl

Chapter 93: Needed a best friend

Different people and different approaches.

That was the route Fil was taking. Spending time with Vincent’s cruel friends wasn’t all for naught. It gave her a deep insight into what type of person they were and what kind of approach she would take. For Marcus, she was vulnerable. For Vincent, she was almost the same. In front of Anton, she had to be firm.

There were still a few more she hadn’t touched in the group.

And she didn’t want to waste time and lose her momentum.

The network where Marianne was working was not far from Anton’s studio. Thus, after leaving the studio, Fil drove near the network building. She glanced at the entrance of the building, holding her phone in front of her ear.

The phone rang a couple of times before it went to voicemail. Not surprising. Marianne should be busy at this hour. Thus, Fil tried once more. On the third try, Marianne picked up the call.

"Hey, Fil," Marianne greeted warmly as soon as the line connected. "How are you?"

"I’m okay." Fil smiled. "Are you available tonight?"

"Tonight?" Marianne glanced at the staff preparing the studio for the next broadcast. "I have to do a quick entertainment buzz segment."

"Oh..."

"Is everything okay?" she asked, brows furrowed.
