Chapter 56: Art of Seduction
[Flashback]
Fil tossed and turned on the bed, getting more and more irritated at every minute that passed. She threw herself one more time, lying flat on her back.
"Why can’t all these embarrassing thoughts fill my head now?" she grumbled, clasping the sheets tightly.
Every time she closed her eyes, her mind would pull her into an embarrassing memory. Most of them were situations with Vincent and his friends, which she made herself believe were ’normal’ in the past. But now that she had a clearer head, she realized those ’normal’ situations were just too embarrassing for the present Fil.
They were plain disrespect, and she let them.
"I really hate myself for thinking they’re my friends," she mumbled, sitting upright in frustration. "I have a meeting tomorrow, but I can’t sleep."
Fil glanced at the digital clock on the bedside table, frowning upon seeing the time. It was already past midnight, but her mind was too active. Sighing, she dragged herself away from the bed to get a glass of water. After filling up the glass and chugging it down in one go, she went back to the bedroom to try to sleep.
But just as she went back to bed and was about to lie down, her phone flashed. She turned to the side table, checking who it was.

Fil cocked her head to the side, only to remember he told her he would fly out.
