Chapter 29: What Now?
It was truly terrible how much limited time they had.
2 hours?
2 hours, 30 minutes?... Who knows...
It has only been 24 hours since they saw the outside world, and they were already struck by an overwhelming sense of loneliness.
It seemed like it was 10 years ago since they saw vehicles, buses and roads.
Modern life, especially having a nice warm bath and good food, was something they now dreamed of.
Sure enough, it's good to count one's blessings and be content in life, before it's too late.
Jumping from branch to branch, the group were like tree monkeys.
Despite the muted light flickering through the canopied trees, the heat was still exhausting.
Worn out and hungry, they grew even more desperate.
Some still slipped, falling and getting sucked in by the vicious tentacles below.
