Chapter 232. Encounter
"Are you serious about the investment?" Dylan asked as they made their way back to the apartment.
"Why not?" Anna asked back.
"Do you trust me so much?" Dylan asked back, his eyes were staring straight at Anna. They were on their way back and the lamps on the side of the roads had been turned on, allowing them to see each other clearly.
Anna felt her heart thumped. She looked back at Dylan and smiled. "Why not? I have known you for a long time."
"Is that all?" Dylan continued to ask.
Anna pursed her lips and continued to walk in steady pace. In the end, she chose to change the topic of conversation, "Do you not want to stay in the base?"
"I want to stay here." Dylan chuckled. "But I also want to have certain guarantee in my hand to ensure my safety."
Ensure his safety.
Anna looked at Dylan for a moment and nodded. It doesn’t feel good to have one’s life and death be in the hands of others. One would want to have their own destiny to be placed in their hand. But the way to reach that would be to have enough power on their own.
And it was not easy.
"It wouldn’t be that simple to cooperate with me. I might bring you to other danger," Dylan said quietly.
