Chapter 126. Mark and Lucy’s Conversation
Mark patted Lucy’s head. "It’s fine. Don’t pay attention to him."
"Hmm." Lucy nodded and snorted.
"Do you want to tell Anna about this matter?"
"Yes." Lucy nodded. "It’s good that she’s not here. This Jake is just like a cockroach. He kept on appearing again and again, making people annoyed just by his mere presence."
Mark nodded. "Don’t be angry. There wouldn’t be any Jake again for a long period of time. We’re going to a different base from them."
"Huh? Different?" Lucy’s eyes lit up with happiness.
"Yes." Mark took out his phone. "There are a total of three bases so far that have been confirmed in this city. The first is our parents’ base, City A Base. The name is very formal because it’s an official base. The second one is Sunshine Base that’s built by 10 relatively rich and influential people."
"Wait, rich and influential people?" Lucy stopped Mark from continuing. "Do you mean Stafford, Williams, and the others?"
"They’re included."
Lucy sneered when she heard that.
These businessmen cared nothing but their own profit. Do you really think that the base they built together would be able to truly work well and they cared for the well being of the people below them who were working hard?
