Chapter 106. The Day before Departure

Mr. Stafford had only finished the call with Mr. Williams when he saw his wife looking at him with displeasure.
"Is there anything wrong?"
"I just feel that the Williams Family are very shameless." Mrs. Stafford sneered. She was actually dissatisfied with Betty because she could see that this is nothing more than a girl who was trying to climb high just like her mother.
What she was even more dissatisfied was that her good son was attracted to Betty and even willing to stay with her and chose to abandon his previous engagement.
She was annoyed.
But with Jake kept on begging and pestering her, she had no other choice but to agree with his request.
It was just that this agreement was not sincere.
"Even if that’s the case, at least Mr. Williams did have some ability." Mr. Stafford shook his head. He looked outside through the window. "We’re staying in this hotel and we need more voices to make our base stable. For the time being, he’s also useful."
