Chapter 18. Flood
Anna heard Dylan's tone and felt that her heart was swayed again. She really couldn't bear to hear it, so she quickly agreed.
Dylan beamed when he heard Anna's answer. "That's great! Do you need me to help you now?"
"No, I just need to rest a bit. Uh, I'll reimburse you for the meal ingredients..." Anna just realized that she forgot to prepare the ingredients to bring to Dylan's place. Now that he was here, she couldn't possibly go to the space and took them out.
It would scare him.
There were some food ingredients in the refrigerator, but if Dylan were to see the content inside, how would she explain if she were to give him more than what he saw there?
This is a bit difficult.
"Don't worry about that. I still have a lot from what you have given these past few days." Dylan shook his head. He walked to the kitchen and poured a glass familiarly before handing it to Anna. "Drink some water."
"Thanks..." Anna took the glass and drank the water.
This felt really familiar.
In all honesty, Anna was friends with Dylan for a long period of time, so they knew each other quite well.
If they were not going to different high school, they might still be close friends by now.
