I jerked up, sweat trickling down my skin as the vivid image of Aldric cutting of Kai’s head replay in my head.
What soon comes after is a piercing headache that seems to threaten to tear me apart. Then the memories comes rushing in.
I now understood why I never remembered my relationship with Keiser, or the fact that I really loved to read books. I had forgotten.
Out of mental trauma or physical trauma of my head dashing against the stone when I fainted, I do not know, or maybe it was both. Leaving me only with the memories of the stoic and obsessed character I became.
I look around and notice I am in a hospital. I had returned.
