Chapter 218: Too Easy
Leo built a small cabin near the construction site as he wasn’t traveling around and wanted to relax. As the months passed, he watched the palace being built while spending time with the girls.
He sat outside, watching snow drift down as the builders pressed on despite the harsh weather. A few moments later, Roxy stepped out, clutching two steaming mugs of tea. With a warm smile, she said. ’’Here you go, love, this’ll warm you up in this cold!’’
’’I know, and thanks for the tea,’’ Leo replied.
The blonde joined him outside as she commented after getting comfortable. ’’It’s been peaceful, not constantly fighting.’’
Leo glanced at the tanned beauty and nodded in agreement. ’’Yes, I agree. Now the empires being built up with everyone helping out puts me at ease.’’
’’What about the two Evil Gods?’’ Roxy questioned with a curious glint in her green eyes.
He shrugged, answering. ’’They will appear in time; it’s not like the duo can avoid me forever. Dark and Light are looking for the fiends anyway, so they’ll be found.’’
The young woman let out a soft giggle as she and her companion sat outside the house, watching a lively group of Demons and Demi-Humans hauling trees across the bridge with spirited determination.
Leo leaned back on the wooden bench, his breath visible in the crisp morning air, as he gazed at the construction site. The frame of the palace rose steadily, its spires beginning to pierce the sky.
Beside him, the blonde sat cross-legged, her green eyes bright with excitement, cradling a cup of hot tea. The rhythmic clang of hammers, the shouts of Demons and Demi-Humans hauling massive beams across the bridge filled the air.
’’Look at that,’’ Roxy said, nudging him with her elbow, her voice bubbling with awe. ’’They’re moving those trees like they weigh nothing!’’
