Chapter 159: Let’s Check Out The Description
Leo traveled across the devil realm and slaughtered any creature he came across until he met one who offered him a deal. ’’Stop killing our kind and we’ll make you the owner of Valoria Demon King.’’
He didn’t respond right away, and the devil, sensing his hesitation, pressed on. ’’You have a long life ahead of you, thousands of years, where your women will grow old and fade away, leaving you behind. You could have everything we offer, the best of eternity. Why settle for them?’’
Its words echoed in his mind, but as Leo listened, images of Roxy’s beautiful smile, Luna’s soft laughter, Bella’s warmth, and the faces of the other women filled his thoughts. He shook his head, a sense of peace washing over him despite the temptation.
’’I’ll grow old with them,’’ Leo said firmly. ’’I’ll let my body age alongside theirs. When the time comes, I’ll leave this world with them—together. We’ll return to nothingness as one because that’s all that matters to me.’’
’’Foolish human!’’ the devil exclaimed.
Leo laughed before dismissing his helmet as he replied. ’’Maybe, but that’s what we humans do best, I guess.’’
Following that, he quickly attacked the Devil General and butchered it, only to feel the experience pour into his body while thinking with a smile. ’You’re changing Leo. I wonder what grandfather would say if he saw you now.’
’He would be a proud old man, my love,’ the goddess’s voice whispered in his mind. ’You’ve changed so much since coming here. Instead of becoming a tyrant, you’ve opened yourself up—to be the man he always dreamed you could be, the man he still hopes you’ll become.’
As her words settled in his heart, the air shifted, and before him stood the dark-haired woman, her smile both comforting. But it wasn’t just her that made his breath catch, it was the figure standing beside her.
’’Grandfather,’’ he muttered.
Although time weathered his features, they were still unmistakable. The old man’s eyes sparkled with pride as he stepped forward, his voice thick with emotion. ’You’re becoming more human, my boy,’ he said, his voice cracking slightly. ’I’m so proud of you. I always knew you had it in you.’
