Chapter 118: Defending A Demon
’’Looks like the Demon Queen will get a new pet,’’ an elegant woman’s voice rang out.
Leo turned toward the figure that appeared with a smirk as she continued, ’’She wouldn’t listen to me. Force wouldn’t change a thing, but if we can turn the humans against you, that will isolate you.’’
She was six feet tall, curvy, and had midnight black hair that was tied into a messy bun. Leo thought she was beautiful, but something was off about her. He chuckled at her words, the sound low and amused, but his mirth didn’t last long.
Before she could say another word, he surged forward with explosive speed, his fist arcing toward the newcomer in a blur. The force of his strike was immense, but it collided with a shimmering red shield that flared to life just in time.
The impact sent shockwaves rippling through the air, the ground trembling beneath their feet as power crackled in the aftermath. ’’Unfortunately, we’re not fighting, handsome,’’ the Demon woman commented in an amused voice. ’’I’m here to show you how the humans will come to hate you.’’
She waved her hand and a mana screen appeared of him slaughtering the Demon soldiers, but in the video, it showed them as humans. Leo was confused, but the woman concluded, ’’Now, if you want to be free, come to the Demon Capital and submit to my empress and she’ll accept you.’’
When Leo heard this, his eyes narrowed, and a sly grin spread across his face. ’’I’ll make your queen my woman, and you too, once I capture you,’’ he retorted, his voice brimming with arrogance.
Without hesitation, he surged forward, his speed blurring him into motion. Summoning all his power, he unleashed his Supernova Punch against the demon woman’s shield. The impact was ferocious; the force radiating heat and energy as the barrier visibly cracked under the pressure.
Her confident demeanor faltered, a flicker of worry crossing her face as she realized the shield might not hold much longer. Leo kept attacking the shield, but the Demon woman quickly cast a spell and vanished.
While this was happening, a portal opened only to have the Silent Watchers pour out alongside Yvanna, who was ready to strike. He noticed their eyes were glowing red, causing him to glance at the Demon.
’’Unfortunately for you, I marked them many days ago,’’ she revealed, her voice laced with dark amusement as her form faded, dissolving into the air like smoke. Her parting words hung ominously in the silence. ’’Good luck.’’
