When Leo heard her answer, he noticed a dozen soldiers converging on him, but he only chuckled before diving low and flying just above the street, which caused a gust of wind to hit the people below.
Octavia burst into laughter, her voice filled with amusement as she noticed the chase behind them. ’’The Imperial Guard are after us, handsome!’’ she teased, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Leo glanced over his shoulder, a smirk tugging at his lips. ’’Let them try to catch us,’’ he said confidently. ’’It’ll take more than a few guards to stop us.’’
A deafening sonic boom echoed through the city as they shot forward, tearing through the streets at breakneck speed. Leo and Octavia darted between towering buildings, weaving through tight alleys and executing hair-raising turns.
The roar of the wind drowned out everything else as they outpaced the Imperial Guard, who struggled desperately to keep up, their pursuit faltering against the sheer speed of their escape.
With the city stretching out beneath them, a sprawling labyrinth of rooftops and twisting streets, Leo soared through the air with Octavia clutched tightly in his arms. The wind howled around them, whipping their hair and clothes in wild gusts.
Behind them, the Imperial Guard was relentless, their shouts fading into the distance as they struggled to match the speed of Leo’s flight. With a sharp turn, Leo dodged a series of buildings with an excited smile.
His body twisted in midair, sending them into a spin that made the blonde let out a joyous laugh. They soared higher, darting around towers, narrowly avoiding a barrage of crossbow bolts that came shooting from the rooftops.
’’Keep up, guards!’’ the princess taunted, her excitement growing wider.
