"Why are you just watching me? Are you not hungry? There is still a lot of food left on your plate," Annalise said, now noticing Rafael’s stare.
Their conversation ended after Rafael placed her plate back in front of her with a bit of all the food laid out on the table. She had been so caught up in finding the dungeon that she had not eaten since breakfast and now she had realised how hungry she was.
Annalise had been so focused on eating that she didn’t notice Rafael had stopped to watch her and kept putting food on her plate instead of his own. Annalise placed her fork down, finished for the moment since she didn’t want to be too full.
"Edwin brought me food throughout the day so I am not hungry. Do you want more?" Rafael asked, ready to serve her more food.
Annalise became suspicious of the amount he was feeding her. "Are you trying to make me fat, Rafael? I can’t eat another bite. We should cover it up for later," she said, thinking it would be a waste to send so much food back. "In the future, we won’t need so much. I love food, but I also watch how much I eat so I don’t get out of shape."
"We didn’t use any of the wine," Annalise said, picking up the untouched bottle. "You should give it to the knights for safely returning or maybe I can have some fun drinking with my friends here. I still need to speak to Devin and Jonah. I also remember Giselle wanting to be my friend."
Rafael wasn’t thrilled by the idea of Giselle and Annalise becoming friends when he had finally gotten the woman to stop entering his manor. He kept his opinion to himself to not interfere with Annalise creating friendships.
"Excuse me for a moment," Annalise said, standing up from her chair. "I need to go to the bathroom."
