Chapter 253: Found (2)
After sleeping in some more and then getting up to get dressed for the day before going down to have her breakfast while the Callahans ate their breakfast together, Annalise now once again sat surrounded by the three Callahans.
She had turned down Beatrice’s offer to eat breakfast with them as Annalise didn’t have the strength to sit with them for breakfast, sit with them in the carriage, and then walk around together. As much as she liked the Callahans, she did not want to spend too much time with them.
Annalise wanted to spend less time with Beatrice since she couldn’t help thinking that Beatrice would somehow be able to sense that she spent the night with Rafael. Based on what Rafael said, his father might have guessed it, but River behaved like normal. Focusing only on his wife.
Annalise looked out the carriage window at the view of the market. She didn’t get to spend a lot of time looking around when she came yesterday with Beatrice since they spent most of their time inside looking at dresses.
The carriage stopped to let them off and like the gentleman River was, he opened the door to offer his hand to help Beatrice outside. Rafael exited after his mother and like his father, he offered his hand to help Annalise out.
Annalise had no reason to reject his help so she placed her hand in his to step out of the carriage.
"There is much to do today since our days on this trip are going by fast. We must get all that we need today so we can spend our last day doing whatever we want," said Beatrice.
They would be leaving tomorrow evening so she wanted to get the shopping out of the way so everyone could relax on the final day before they needed to leave. Beatrice wanted more bags and shoes to add to her collection while Rafael and River normally enjoyed looking at the weapons being sold.
