Chapter 129: His type of woman (3)
"I came here because I had something I wanted to give my brother and I thought it would be nice to speak with you. I didn’t mean to upset you and I apologised to the maid for the way-"
"Because I asked you to let her go," Rafael interjected.
Giselle wouldn’t have realised how she was holding Annalise if not for him asking for her to be let go.
"You are aware that Mavis is the head maid and when I am not present, I expect that guest, which you are not at the moment, can respect her enough to listen to what she says. This is not your home for you to walk in and do as you please. I have been kind in telling you that your efforts for me to return your feelings will go to waste. You are not the type of woman I wish to court," said Rafael.
Giselle looked down at the dress she wore. She picked it out specifically to catch his attention. "What about me do you not like? I can adjust it. Am I not pretty?" She mustered the courage to ask.
She had changed everything about her so no one could say she was a simple girl who blended into the background. It was her time to be noticed and she would do whatever was necessary to stand out.
"You are a very pretty young woman, Giselle. If anyone were to tell you otherwise, it would be due to jealousy or not wanting to fill your head. I have never denied that you are a pretty woman, but it is not all that matters when I consider the woman I want to be with in the future. Do not waste your time coming to my home again," Rafael said, not wanting her to miss out on someone else because she was chasing him.
She was the same as Delilah, but aside from how she dressed, he could stomach her presence.
"You have not given me a good chance to show what I am like. We don’t speak enough for you to know whether or not I would make a good woman for you. Just give me one chance to have a proper conversation with you. Please," she begged.
