Chapter 124: Controlling (1)
Annalise was still puzzled when Mavis left her alone. She now knew what Rafael had spoken to Mavis about when he took her inside the library and he left out that it was her who told him about the gates.
It couldn’t be helped that Mavis knew it was her, but it wasn’t like she was trying to get Mavis fired. She was only trying to find a way out to meet with Thomas.
Now that Mavis wanted her to clean Rafael’s room, she was once again unable to find a spot to train. However, if she could not leave to find Thomas tonight, since she would have to search the town for wherever he might be as it was not a day for them to meet, she would sneak off down by the river to start training again.
Annalise finally got over the small shock of Mavis starting over with her and began to head up to the second floor to clean Rafael’s room. The sooner she cleaned it, the sooner she could go back to her room and rest since she could not go down to the river when there were so many eyes watching.
’I will be alone in his room,’ Annalise smiled.
She was presented with a golden opportunity to sneak around and look at his swords. This time, she needed to avoid cutting herself with a sword and to make sure that would not happen again, she could just not touch the sword, but how was she not supposed to pick it up when it was right infront of her? This time there wouldn’t be anyone to barge inside the room to startle her and have her almost drop the sword.
Annalise entered Rafael’s bedroom and closed the door behind her. She locked the door before she could step any further into his room. The last thing she needed to happen was Mavis or Edwin entering while she was playing with a sword.
Annalise went straight to the wall full of swords and picked up the same sword she cut herself with. "What would it take for me to get a sword like this without stealing it?" She asked herself.
She had to leave her precious sword with Thomas and now that she saw the swords Rafael owned, she found it time for her to get a new sword. She could not replace her old sword since it was special to her, but it should have a sibling.
