The Knight's Mysterious Maid

Chapter 107: Confused (1)

"We should end this here. It won’t be long until Edwin or Mavis pass by here. Do you want to continue this or go back to normal? I am not going to ever run to you and apologise for getting a good job. Know that in the early," Annalise said as it was not her job to make Aria feel better about not getting what she wanted.

She was not Aria’s mother to be cuddling her to stop her from throwing a tantrum.

"I will not befriend anyone who does anything but work hard to get ahead. All you do is open your mouth to say something foolish and the Callahans fall for it. You are like a wild animal-"

"Aria, if you cherish your life, do not call me a wild animal," Annalise said, gripping the basket to calm her anger.

"And what will you do? Put a snake in my bed? I shall tell Mavis if you do it," said Aria.

Annalise smiled, biting her tongue to restrain herself. Snakes were the last thing on her mind whenever someone called her wild. Her first thought was to have her hands around Aria’s throat, squeezing it tightly until her eyes started to roll back.

All the people here saw was her playful nature. Her being a simple farm girl who was not meant for this town. Being in this town was a hard challenge for her to not attack anyone when it filled her mind.

"Continue to call me wild if you wish to make your parents mourn. This is my one and only warning to you. I am retiring to my room," Annalise said and then walked off to head to the servant quarters. She had enough of the conversations when it came to Aria.

Heidi sighed, touching her face as she could not believe how riled up she was. "I cannot believe I must continue to work alongside you for the rest of the day. The manor is large and yet, I manage to always be near the people who irritate me."
