Chapter 28: [Bonus - ] Different (1)
"Shit," Rafael muttered a curse under his breath. He had a bad feeling after not finding Connor, and Annalise was nowhere in sight. He had no choice but to leave the hall and find Mavis to ask her where Annalise should be right now.
Before he got far away from the hall, Rafael heard a muffled sound coming from inside one of the rooms normally assigned to guests spending a night here. Rafael stopped, as no one was supposed to be in the room, but since he had a more important issue to deal with, he continued to walk toward the kitchen. It was most likely a couple who were using the room to fool around.
Three steps further, Rafael heard another noise, like something large had fallen over inside the same room he heard a noise in a moment ago. Rafael had no choice but to turn around to check on what was happening inside the room.
Rafael returned to the door of the room and knocked on it. "You are not allowed to be inside of there. Come out now," he said. His patience was running thin with whoever was inside, holding him back from finding Annalise or Connor.
"Sir Rafael!"
Rafael tensed up when he heard his name called from the inside. The door muffled the sound, but he was close enough to pick up that it sounded like the maid Annalise. Rafael turned the doorknob, hoping he was here in time before something to scar Annalise happened.
"Annalise!" Rafael exclaimed as he opened the door and walked inside. "You," Rafael almost stumbled at the sight before him. He came here to save Annalise from Connor, but somehow he walked into a room where he might need to save Connor.
"I will teach you in place of your parents!"
Before Rafael, Connor laid on the floor with Annalise sitting on his chest with her right placed near his neck causing a choking sound to come from Connor, and her hand in the air ready to hit Connor.
