[BL] Dear Hushand, I want divorce

Chapter 108: I’m your idiot

Ash sat nervously on the sofa, his heart pounding in his chest. His fingers were tightly intertwined with Elijah’s, the only source of comfort in the tense atmosphere. His eyes remained glued to the floor as he tried to steady his breathing.

This was it—the moment of truth. Ash and Elijah had finally decided to tell Grandpa about their relationship.

Elijah squeezed Ash’s hand reassuringly, but Ash’s mind kept racing. What if Grandpa doesn’t accept us? What if he can’t understand two men in a relationship? What if this ruins everything?

Taking a deep breath, Ash finally spoke up, his voice trembling, "Grandpa, there’s something we need to tell you."

Grandpa sat in his armchair, his gaze calm but unreadable. His eyes flickered between Ash and Elijah, waiting for them to continue.

Ash’s grip tightened on Elijah’s hand, and he forced himself to continue, "Elijah and I...we’re together. We love each other." He swallowed hard, his voice wavering with vulnerability. "I know it might seem strange to you, and I understand if it’s hard to accept...but we want your blessing. I want your blessing."

For a long moment, there was silence. The room seemed to hold its breath. Ash’s heart felt like it was about to break as he watched Grandpa’s expression, which remained unreadable.

Then, Grandpa let out a deep sigh, shaking his head slowly. "I can’t believe this," he muttered, his voice heavy with disappointment.

Ash felt his chest constrict. His vision blurred with unshed tears as his worst fears were confirmed. He had never felt this much pain and panic all at once. His stomach twisted in knots, and his throat felt like it was closing up. He opened his mouth to apologise, to plead, but nothing came out.

Elijah immediately moved closer, ready to defend them both, his hand resting protectively on Ash’s shoulder. "Grandpa, please, just listen—"

But before Elijah could say anything more, Grandpa’s face suddenly broke into a wide grin, and a deep, hearty laugh erupted from him. He leaned back in his chair, clutching his stomach as he laughed harder than they had ever seen him laugh.
