Chapter 1441 - 1442: He Is Very Important to Me
Jin Si slowly walked toward Lin Chen and Alice.
The Martial Artists from other factions automatically cleared a path for him, their gazes uneasy and apprehensive.
Lin Chen caught a trace of disdain at the corner of his mouth, this guy really has a powerful aura.
Moments later, Jin Si stood in front of Alice, his eyes fervently fixed on her.
"Alice, I never expected we'd meet again. This time entering Death Island is fraught with danger, why not stay by my side? With me here, no one would dare touch your Pantheon." Jin Si chuckled.
Jin Si had a very gentlemanly expression, his smile genteel, and his demeanor exceptionally noble. His gentle, soothing voice was pleasing to the ear.
Lin Chen was very curious as to why Alice disliked this guy so much.
"Thanks, but I wouldn't dare make you my bodyguard, besides, I already have someone to protect me." As she spoke, Alice glanced in Lin Chen's direction.
This minor gesture did not escape Jin Si's notice, his eyes flashing with a cold glitter as he too looked toward Lin Chen standing before Alice.
"Oh, so it's someone from Chinese Martial Arts. Do you really think these few scraps can protect you? I think they can barely protect themselves." Jin Si mocked with a cold smile.
Zhang Yu snorted coldly, "Jin Si, what are you saying?"
Jin Si sneered, "Oh, Zhang Yu, a defeated opponent. It's pathetic Chinese Martial Arts actually sent you here. It seems truly no one else was available."
"You?" Zhang Yu's eyes turned cold upon hearing this.
A few years ago, at the Young Martial Arts Tournament, Zhang Yu had lost to Jin Si in one move, forfeiting the world championship title.
Jin Si chuckled lightly at Zhang Yu's grim expression, then turned his gaze to Lin Chen beside him.
"I've long heard that Chinese Martial Arts has a newcomer who is very boastful. I wonder what tricks you used to fool those above into giving you resources meant for all nations' martial disciplines. I suppose that must be you."
As he spoke, Jin Si's eyes flickered with cold light, mocking, "But that's okay. What went down your throat, I'll make sure you cough back up."
Jin Si's laughter carried sarcasm and provocation, although he had smiled the whole time, he was a typical smiling tiger hiding a dagger.
As Jin Si and the people from Chinese Martial Arts stood at daggers drawn, the noisy surroundings fell silent.
People from all major factions were watching this scene.
There had already been rumors that this time, Group X had contacted several major organizations aiming to deal with Chinese Martial Arts on Death Island.
However, they had not expected sparks to fly between the two sides before even setting foot on Death Island.
Alice frowned and was about to speak when Lin Chen shook his head and stopped her.
"Sorry, we Chinese are very particular about what we eat, unlike you Americans, who eat and vomit in the same place. Quite a heavy taste indeed."
Under the gaze of numerous martial artists around, Lin Chen appeared indifferent, unfazed by Jin Si's mighty aura.
The moment Lin Chen spoke, everyone around gasped; they didn't expect Lin Chen to have such guts to directly mock Jin Si.
Sure enough, Jin Si's face turned cold. "It seems you're tired of living. Do you know the consequences of insulting us Americans?"
"I insult you every day, and here I am, still living quite well, aren't I?" Lin Chen chuckled lightly.
"Ignorant fool, I have to admit you're very stupid. Challenging us American Martial Arts, you'll die a horrible death." Jin Si snorted coldly.
"Oh really? Is it that you Americans always talk too much? No wonder Alice dislikes you so much, just like a fly buzzing around annoyingly," Lin Chen laughed.
Upon hearing this, Jin Si's brows furrowed, his face grew even darker.
Especially when Lin Chen mentioned Alice didn't like him, his body twitched slightly, his narrow triangular eyes gleaming sinisterly.
Jin Si nodded slightly, his face with a smile, yet the laughter seemed increasingly eerie.
"Fine, fine, it seems some people need to be properly dealt with, otherwise they might think the world is theirs."
As he spoke, Jin Si glanced at Alice. "Alice, I advise you to stay away from the people of Chinese Martial Arts, or you may get burned."
His voice was icy and piercing, everyone could hear the threat in his words.
"You're right, some people really need to be knocked down a peg; otherwise, they might truly think they own the world," Lin Chen's smile disappeared, his eyes sharp with cold light, his imposing manner matched Jin Si's.
"Kid, you've got guts. Let's meet on Death Island, better enjoy the warmth of the sun now, as such opportunities may not come often,"
Jin Si sneered, his fists cracking loudly. Those familiar with Jin Si gasped, clearly, he now had a murderous intent toward Lin Chen.
Looks like this Chinese kid will have a hard time getting out of Death Island alive.
As Jin Si left, Lin Chen snorted coldly, "So that guy is the number one on the Qinglist."
Zhang Yu nodded, "Yes, that's Krus Jin Si, number one on the Qinglist."
"However, he may not be the strongest; aside from him, there's someone else who's at least on par with Jin Si," Zhang Yu said somewhat warily.
"Who?" Lin Chen asked curiously.
This guy is from the underground world, in his early twenties, yet he's a top-ten master on the Blacklist, his name is Gui Kui.
"Gui Kui?" Lin Chen's brow furrowed slightly, apparently unfamiliar with him.
"This guy is unaffiliated, appears and disappears without a trace, I've heard he once fought Jin Si to a draw," Alice supplemented from the side.
Seems like an interesting fellow, I wonder if he'll appear on Death Island.
"Death Island is opening..."
While Lin Chen was lost in thought, Li Mengli suddenly spoke.
Lin Chen also looked up, seeing not far away, ripples on the island's barrier, indicating Death Island was indeed opening.
...
Meanwhile, several kilometers away from Death Island, two figures swiftly darted across the sea surface.
"Sis, don't worry, we'll definitely make it in time," the figure behind laughed awkwardly.
"You say that, but it's your indulgence in drinking causing the delay. Otherwise, why are we late?" The front figure, a lively girl, complained.
"I only drank a few sips, sis, I'm sorry, okay? Besides, didn't you already scold me this morning? My ears almost got twisted off," said the boy, instinctively touching his red, swollen ear in grievance.
"The fluctuations indicate Death Island is opening, hurry up; if you dawdle any longer, I'll twist your ears off," the girl glared at the person behind.
The boy's body trembled slightly upon hearing this. "Sis, don't you like peace and quiet the most? Why are you joining this commotion, could it be someone on Death Island is very important to you?"
The girl paused, taking a deep breath. "Yes, he's very important to me."
