All the Necromancer Wants is to Plant Trees

Chapter 011 – The Three Elements of Legend

...

A level 15 Bone Dragon can cause a dimensional impact when facing most enemies, and the main reason for this is its mastery of "Dragon's Might". The Bone Dragon's Dragon's Might is considered weak among the dragon race. However, when combined with the characteristics of its summoned creatures, it can easily produce unexpected effects. Except for a few well-trained and tough warriors and a few monsters, most people can only become lambs to be slaughtered when facing Dragon's Might, and warlocks are no exception.

Puff!

Little Phi's body slammed heavily into the fat man Andre. The latter's body, which had been transformed by dark magic, was considered outstanding among humans. But in the face of the descending Bone Dragon, he could only be crushed like a slightly larger piece of tofu!

On the other side, Matthew took out the hand crossbow hidden in the Mysterious Spell Satchel.

Swoosh!

A precise arrow hit Fain's chest, and under the intense pain, he showed signs of breaking free from the influence of Dragon's Might.

Unfortunately, Matthew wouldn't give him a chance. With just a thought, Little Phi obediently followed his action. Fain, who was clutching his chest, stumbled and ran two steps before being turned into minced meat by the four-toed bone claws!

...

"Quest Log: You have killed the warlock Fain and successfully eliminated the potential threat in the Oak Forest! You have obtained the spell 'Rapid Growth' and a ticket to the Moonlight Society."

...

"Warning: You have killed the warlock Fain, and you have earned the enmity of the Dark Spirit Lord Omadocchi! Omadocchi's Hatred Level +10."

...

"Dark Spirit Lord?"

Matthew furrowed his brows slightly. He thought that the master Fain served would at most be a powerful dark spirit, but he didn't expect it to be a being at the level of a 'Lord'.

But he wasn't worried. The more powerful a dark spirit, the more difficult it was to exert its power in the material world. As long as he didn't go to lower planes to seek death, this level of enmity shouldn't have a big impact.

...

"Hiss..."

While Matthew was searching the bodies with disgust, a strange sound came from the valley. It was the group of bandits.

Matthew's eyes showed a hint of pity. "Infused with trickery, no hope."

He knew very little about trickery.

But at this moment, these bandits and exiles had been transformed into monsters under Fain's trickery. They had become creatures covered in green fur, moving on all fours. Their spines twisted and contorted like soft-bodied creatures. Their facial features had long been torn apart, revealing numerous fine flesh seams and purple-red blood blisters under the green whip-like hair!

"Hiss!"

They began to attack each other unconsciously! These illusory creations were not true dark spirits. After losing Fain, the one who started it all, they only retained their most primitive instincts. They tore each other's bodies apart. Soon, a strong stench filled the valley.

"Kill them all!"

Matthew decisively gave the order, and Little Phi, without hesitation, rushed forward like a bulldozer. With just one pass, half of the illusory creations in the valley were killed!

...

"No wonder it's known as the most powerful summoning creature against weak opponents. It's worth the three years of planting trees."

Matthew nodded in satisfaction. After sweeping through the valley and confirming that nothing was left, he walked into the large tent. Sif was still unconscious. Matthew checked her briefly and confirmed that she was not affected by the trickery before he let out a sigh of relief. Sif was a likable child. Despite her noble background, she didn't act like a spoiled princess. The residents of Rolling Stone Town liked her, and Matthew naturally hoped that she would be safe. Instead of uncovering the blanket, he directly picked up Sif and walked out.

In the valley, Little Phi was having a great time. It dashed back and forth like a small mountain. Most of the illusory creations had been killed by it, leaving only a few on the outskirts running around like headless flies. Matthew could tell that this guy was deliberately leaving these few illusory creations to play with! He was about to remind Little Phi to be more efficient when suddenly, a strong sense of danger surged in his heart!

Matthew was horrified to find that, at some point, the mist that had been lingering at the top of the barren mountain was slowly descending. The mist on the upper part of the valley kept sinking, and it seemed like the entire valley was about to be swallowed up!

"Run!"

Matthew shouted loudly and then jumped onto Little Phi's head while carrying Sif. The Bone Dragon let out an uneasy low growl. It seemed to sense the strangeness of the mist. Its massive body started moving and rushed towards the mountain path!

"Avoid that mist!"

When they were close to the mouth of the valley, Matthew saw that mist was also approaching from the side of the mountain path. What was even more terrifying was that within the mist, he saw a disheveled figure!

"Run!"

Matthew's heart was pounding rapidly! However, there was a cliff on the other side of the mountain path.

"Can you fly?" Seeing that the mist was about to engulf them, Matthew anxiously asked.

Little Phi didn't answer. It spread out its featherless and fleshless wings, then leaped towards the direction of the cliff!

Whoosh!

The merciless wind pierced through the bone wings on both sides. Little Phi's heavy body sank violently. Matthew held Sif tightly with one hand and grabbed onto Little Phi's bones with the other.

"Woo..." Little Phi let out a hurried whimper. Its body was falling faster and faster, and it was about to crash hard at the foot of the mountain. At this critical moment, the Bone Dragon's soul fire suddenly emitted a stimulating glow, and a faint chanting voice disappeared in an instant.

The next second, Little Phi's body seemed much lighter. Its steep descent suddenly adjusted into a safe glide!

...

"Due to being forced to jump off a cliff, your summoned creature 'Philorius' has unlocked its potential and mastered the Dragon Language spell 'Advanced Feather Fall'!"

...

"Well done!" Matthew patted the Bone Dragon's head forcefully, then turned his head in a panic.

The mist had enveloped the mouth of the valley, but it finally stopped descending.

"That damn warlock didn't tell the truth. He must have known something about the mist from the Witch Hut and used the illusory creations to stimulate the arrival of the mist. No wonder he wanted to escape..." Matthew wiped off a cold sweat.

Fortunately, Fain didn't expect that it would only take a moment for him to eliminate them!

"If it had been delayed for another minute or two..." Matthew didn't dare to think further. This world was too terrifying. The first time he ventured out on his own, he almost met with a disaster. Indeed, it was safer to stay at home and plant trees!

...

Coming to his senses, Matthew looked down at the vast land under the moonlight. The darkness in all directions receded like a tide. The cool night wind slapped his face. This feeling was not bad at all.

Matthew straightened his back.

"Let's go, let's go home."

Little Phi also let out a low growl, then whistled down the mountain!

...

Above the foot of the mountain, Lord Bloodflag was saying goodbye to the giant eagle.

"I'm sorry, but I can only take you this far."

The giant eagle said in a deep voice, "My intuition tells me that there is a terrible evil growing on this mountain. I can't ignore it, but I lack the courage to fight it, so I have to say goodbye. Be careful, don't get too close to that ancient castle."

Lord Bloodflag nodded, "I understand. The location Zeller divined is in the valley on the west side, which is quite a distance from the Witch Hut."

The giant eagle folded its wings, "So, you deliberately let them make a big fuss, also to confuse the enemy's sight, right?"

Lord Bloodflag smiled silently, "Of course. To be able to silently kidnap Sif under Zeller's watch, it must have been done by one of 'our own'."

The giant eagle sighed, "The world of humans is indeed complicated. I hope your courage and wisdom will lead to a good outcome."

Lord Bloodflag patted the giant eagle on the back, then drew a silver greatsword, "Those bugs who only dare to hide in the corner and scheme may have forgotten that I, Raga Bloodflag, was once a warrior who fought alone in purgatory."

"Seventeen years ago, I swore that no one could take Sif away from me... I will never let that happen again!"

With that, he strode towards the mountain with his sword. However, after only a few steps, a huge shadow rolled over from mid-air!

Whoosh!

The grotesque shadow swept over his head. Both of them were stunned by the terrifying dragon's might!

Bang!

The greatsword fell to the ground, almost piercing Raga's boots! A few seconds later, Raga, who had barely regained his ability to move, looked back in horror. On the back of that skeletal beast, he saw a figure standing proudly! More importantly, he vaguely saw that the figure was holding someone in his arms!

"Sif——!"

Raga roared with all his might.

He couldn't be wrong. That feeling couldn't be wrong. The nightmare from seventeen years ago reappeared before him. He rushed towards the direction where the bone dragon was disappearing in anger and shock. But soon, the shadow disappeared into the night.

...

"Was there someone down there just now? What was he shouting?"

Little Phi was flying too fast. Matthew didn't see or hear clearly. He was still immersed in the joy of riding a dragon. With the support of advanced Featherfall, Little Phi glided more than eighty miles before stopping in front of a hill. Matthew intended to cancel the Bone Dragon summon first, then send Sif home. But at this moment, a fire suddenly lit up behind the hill! Before Matthew could react, the fire had rushed to the front. It was a group of people holding torches and hurrying on their way!

...

"Hiss hiss hiss..."

Little Phi let out a low growl.

Dragon's might!

The sudden encounter obviously caught the group off guard. They were all stunned on the spot. This allowed Matthew to clearly see their panicked faces!

"Don't move!"

He shouted in a low voice, stopping Little Phi's movement. It took a long time for the group to recover from the shock.

"Clang clang clang!"

They drew their swords and retreated:

"It's a Bone Dragon!"

"Damn it!"

"Weren't they just bandits?"

Amid the uneasy whispers of the people, a calm and cold voice came from the back of the bone dragon:

"Captain Blade, nice to see you again, please follow me."

...

In the crowd, Blade was stunned. He opened his mouth in disbelief.

"Please follow me."

Under the light of the torches, everyone nervously watched the figure descend from the back of the bone dragon.

He faced the crowd with his side face, so they could only see a vague figure. But most importantly, he was holding a sleeping woman in his arms!

"It's the young lady!" someone exclaimed.

"Wait!" Blade, who had come to his senses, promptly stopped the others' movements.

"Everyone, back off!" he ordered decisively.

The crowd looked at him in confusion. After a few seconds, they retreated a good distance under Blade's urging.

Blade quickly stepped forward. "Matthew? Is it really you?" he asked in a trembling voice.

"Who else could it be?" Matthew handed over the sleeping girl, "She is also my student."

"Thank God!" Blade took Sif, let out a long sigh of relief, then looked at Matthew and the bone dragon behind him with a complicated expression, "I always thought you were just a clumsy Necromancer..."

"Uh, do you need me to keep this a secret for you?"

Matthew smiled, "Sure." Then he reminded, "It's best not to go to the Witch Hut. It's too dangerous there. I'm afraid we'll have to wait for Archmage Ronan to come back to solve it."

Blade nodded solemnly.

After a brief conversation, Matthew turned and left. Under the watchful and wary eyes of the crowd, Little Phi slowly turned sideways, and its huge skeletal body gradually disappeared into the darkness.
