Chapter 204: About The Break
"You mean it?" Rory asked.
She could see that. But this is something that was troubling her for so long and she didn’t want to confirm it. She observed his eyes to look for any sign of distress. She feared that he might be hiding his true feelings for her sake.
"I do," Liam held her hand.
"Okay..." Rory nodded. He means it. "And I went to the basement because I heard Sidney. She was breaking the wine bottles after she somehow loosened her tie... And I saw...it... the dead baby..." she gulped and Liam held her hand.
"It was terrible. I’d rather forget that... He came and he...He called her pig and she started to hurt herself just because he looked at her. He trained her like that probably... It was hard for me to even say that it was not my fault one hundred percent. I still think that I am to blame even a bit. But it makes sense that... he... he was planning on doing that to me whether I went to him or not. He stalked me for that reason... So..."
Liam was silently listening. She met his eyes. "I don’t think that I have to talk about it more. I understand what happened there and I am coming to terms with it. I am grateful that it didn’t go far. I just escaped with some scratches and broken bones. Metal scars too, I’m afraid... But I was lucky...Luckier than the other women who were ruined by that monster...And... I don’t think that you need to know every little detail of what happened to me there..." she said.
She hoped her answer does not anger him. He asked her if it would help her recovery. It won’t change anything for her. But...
