Chapter 114: Another Accusation(II)

Rory crossed the aisle hearing Jennifer shouting at Liam to stay away from her.
"Hey!" Rory pushed the cart in front of Liam as Jennifer lunged at him.
The lady who was in the same aisle shook her head and walked away.
"Ah!" Jennifer clutched her belly. "Why did you do that?"
Jennifer’s shout attracted the other shoppers and it made Ellie cry.
"Oh, stop it, Jennifer! My cart didn’t even touch you!" Rory patted Ellie’s back as Liam was holding her.
That gathered townsfolk who knew Rory all accused her of hurting a pregnant woman with no consideration. That’s what they always did. Accuse her even if they don’t know what happened.
"She really didn’t hit you, miss!" The lady who was in the aisle before the crowd gathering spoke the truth.
Rory thought she must be new in town.
Burke--Jennifer’s husband got through the crowd and reached Jennifer.
"As far as I saw, it was you who were creating a fuzz with that man and scared the baby," the lady pointed at Liam.
