Chapter 98: What She Wants
A boy...
Rory wondered if Uncle Lenny wants a boy. But she didn’t understand what made Sidney so scared about it. Knowing her, she might be worrying if she would lose her figure if she has another baby.
But thinking about having another kid, she got scared too. But she cleared her throat.
"Liam says he wants a boy too! What’s with the Roberts? Grandma Roberts could not stop talking about her desire of having more girls in the family, but the men... They want boys!" Rory laughed mostly to veil her fright. "I guess, everyone wants what they don’t have."
Only after saying what she did, did Rory realize that she brought up grandma Roberts to Sidney. Grandma Roberts is not at all fond of Lennon’s family as it reminds her of grandpa Roberts’ unfaithfulness. Bringing her up might have hurt Sidney.
"That is true...we always want what we don’t have like~" Sidney stopped mid-sentence as if she woke up from a trance. She stood up and played with the wedding ring, she walked to the window.
"I am hearing Liam’s company is doing very well. Lennon was bragging how soon Liam’s company might be the biggest of LR Holdings," Sidney said with her usual plastic smile.
"Did he?" Rory was happy. If uncle Lennon said that, then that should be true. He is not someone who minces his words.
So... Fizzy is doing well!
"Yes," Sidney nodded. "You..." she looked at Rory from top to bottom, "should prepare yourself for the lifestyle of a CEO’s wife... You’re..." she stared at her in deep thoughts. "It’s going to be hard..."
"But you’ll have to if you want him to stay with you on paper. Or who knows? He might find a young new thing to f*ck, you see, the ones with perky boobs, who know how to blow really good...the young bright-eyed ones who call themselves "sugar babies"..." She let out a sigh. "At least twenty years... then you can get half with a neat all..." she mumbled under her breath.
Rory’s heart skipped a beat.
