Chapter 95: Will Protect
Rory went to the bed, pouting. She knew this is how Derick would react. She blamed herself for her loud mouth.
Because she was angry at Jennifer, she accidentally leaked the truth. She can’t be this careless.
But still, she didn’t find it a good idea to be the bridesmaid at Derick’s wedding. She didn’t know how Derick is going to convince Julia to make her a bridesmaid. She doesn’t know Julia enough to become her bridesmaid and as a woman, she hated to impose herself on another woman’s wedding.
Ah... It would be very awkward! Why is Derick doing this?
"What happened here?" Liam entered the room with Ellie. Seeing Rory on the bed with a tired expression, he sat beside her.
Ellie was yawning after her little walk and leaned on Liam’s shoulder.
"Ah, if I could be like Ellie..." Rory pouted. "I could eat and sleep all day long and no one will get mad at me for no reason."
"What happened? I saw the nurses were all whispering something and the Burn-head was walking by. Did she come to talk to you?" Liam rubbed her back.
People in this town do not like the Roberts(well, not all Roberts, but some of them!) much and they don’t hesitate to show it. Even the hospital staff treats them with veiled animosity.
He knew something must have happened when he saw Jennifer walking by. That "innocent" blonde always gets the support of everyone even if she is the villainess.
Rory closed her eyes as his gentle caress calmed her down. But she didn’t fail to notice the malice he tries to hide in his gentleness.
"Maybe it is time we leave for home..." She said not wanting to tell him what Jennifer told her. She didn’t want Liam to go fight with her.
