Chapter 74: Lost Ring
Liam looked scared and at the same time, he looked determined. Rory noticed him holding the knife tightly.
He truly thinks that there is someone else in this place...
"There are no guns in the truck?" She asked him. He shook his head.
"What a pain in the ass..." Rory let out a sigh.
"You believe me?" Liam asked. Even he was surprised she is believing him.
Rory shrugged. "I don’t think I slipped and fell... " she mumbled and took a careful look around. She then leaned closer to him and whispered in his ears.
"I saw something, Fizzy... Something grey, pale and thin...He...It...It was very thin with a big head and bigger eyes. Those eyes... They were like big pools of the abyss."
Liam’s heart skipped a beat. "Really?" He clutched her hand.
Rory could feel him shivering out of fright. She leaned closer to his face. His warm breath fell on her and his hand holding her hand tightened as she spoke. "Yes," she nodded and she saw his pupils dilating.
"I saw something similar at the distance behind a tree," he said.
"You saw it too?" Rory raised her brows. "Was he holding a ring and called it "My Precious" too?" She asked imitating the voice of "Gollum" from "The Lord of the Rings".
Liam blinked his eyes and pulled back.
