Chapter 226: Possessiveness
Tony came back late after the victory celebrations directly to the hospital. He checked on Joey with Randy knowing Marcella would ask for him. Joey was sleeping rather peacefully.
They had an amazing son who was angelic and understanding.
Tony had to sneak into Marcella’s room as the nurses were hovering around stopping any visitors. He was not a visitor but the husband. The nurses insisted that only one attender can be with the patient. Since Mary was with Marcella, he was not allowed in.
He found a way in.
The attender’s couch was empty and he saw Mary dozing off sitting on the stool beside Marcella. His lips curved up. Marcella had the quality to attract loyal people who loved her.
He walked to the bed to see Marcella on her back. She was sleeping deeply. She had worked very hard today and she deserved some rest. Tony covered her with the blanket and her lips curved up unconsciously. He loved seeing the smile on her face. He wanted to kiss her but he didn’t want to disturb her sleep.
He walked to the bassinet to have a look at the baby. He held the baby only once before. Standing beside the cot, he stared at the baby. He was sleeping and when he tried to touch his face, he flinched and with his lips pouting, started to stretch. There was that dreaded popping sound from under and Tony frowned knowing what followed.
Diaper change!
The baby’s face contorted and his lips trembled without him opening his eyes. Tony hurriedly picked him up and hugged him.
"Shh... I’ll do anything you want if you do not scream right now," Tony spoke softly. He wanted the sleeping ladies to have a little more rest. He could handle a sleepless night or two.
The baby was silent and looked at him with his big watery eyes just until he changed the diaper. Just as Tony picked him up to lull him back to sleep, he started screaming as if he had been thrown into an active volcano.
"Tony..."
