Chapter 181: Missing
Thanksgiving Day
Marcella peeked from the kitchen hearing Tony at the wine cellar. He was picking the drinks from the cellar. She looked at the patio and there was a big gang there.
Marcella had the urge to celebrate Thanksgiving with everyone. She asked Randy and Henry and they agreed. Mary had already told her that she wanted to spend Thanksgiving in her home because her children were all coming home. She felt guilty for leaving Marcella with all the workload but Marcella was not fazed.
She had no experience cooking for many but she knew she wouldn’t be left alone. Just like she predicted, the kitchen was filled with a lot of helping hands. She didn’t have to do anything in her kitchen. Randy’s wife was well experienced in cooking Thanksgiving dinner and along with Henry’s wife, Marcella had nothing to do. She was simply chatting with Rosy, sipping on wine.
Marcella followed Tony with her eyes. Tony poured drinks for everyone. She saw the relationship between Randy and Tony had become a lot better. They had a rough patch after Randy revealed the truth about her sister’s death to her. Gradually, they had mended their relationship.
Marcella was glad. Randy’s family had been a great help for her in many ways and they should show their gratefulness.
Marcella looked around and her lips curved to a smile. Hearing the noises around brought her back to the days her father was alive. He loved bringing people together and their house always had a lively atmosphere.
Thinking of the past, Marcella sighed. Her sister should have been here!
She gulped down the wine.
If only Tony took a different route, maybe, just maybe her sister would be alive.
