Chapter 133: The Visit
Marcella woke up in the middle of the night hearing Joey cry. Before she got up, Tony got to Joey surprising Marcella. She was surprised he hadn’t fallen asleep yet.
"Sleep," he said picking up Joey.
Marcella smiled. They had a dim night lamp in the room and his smile painted a divine contour on his face. He gently rocked the baby as he walked out to the kitchen. Marcella felt like heaven had descended into their tiny little home.
The bedroom door was open and she could hear Tony speaking softly to the baby. She heard the sound of the utensils as he prepared the formula. She didn’t know why, but hearing it made her happy. Before she knew it, she fell back asleep.
In the morning she didn’t have to do much and she did some research and learned that the arrival of first responders required the cops to accompany them. So if the cops aren’t allowed inside, the first responders may refuse to respond in case of emergencies citing that their lives are in danger without the cops.

She called Tony as she wanted to inform him that she was going to Olive Groove to check the situation there. She had no obligation to follow it through. But she was curious. She just wanted to check out the situation there.
Even she had not realized that she was already halfway through the girl she once was. She could have delegated. She has hundreds of men who would do her bidding without asking a question. The leadership quality she had kept buried for a decade, sprouted out, thanks to Tony watering her with confidence.
Tony was not in the office. Stella informed her that Tony had gone out to meet someone. Marcella asked Stella to pass her message to Tony. Picking up the sleeping baby, she went to Olive Groove.
Leaving Joey in Randy’s house, she decided to take a walk. Randy came rushing home after his wife informed him of her plan. She didn’t want to take Randy with her because then everyone would recognize her as Don DeAngelo’s daughter.
