Chapter 120: Soothing Rain
Tony watched her getting away. He heard what she said. He could still feel the warmth left by her lips on his cheeks. It was turning colder by the second.
He couldn’t move. His temporary paralysis didn’t apply to his lips as he couldn’t stop smiling.
She said it! She told me that she loved me. She called me ’Sweet Baby Tony’. It was real.
She said she loves me!
He couldn’t keep his happiness at bay. The warmth of happiness shook him off his frozen state and he jumped up from his seat. He bent down a little to have a peek of her face.
In the rain, under the umbrella, his beautiful magnolia bloomed with a bright smile. When he met her eyes, she smiled teasingly at him and turned.
Those lips... he wanted to taste those lips that said those awesome words!
"Wait!" he shouted unable to bear to lose sight of her divine face.
She turned to him; she must have heard him call for her. His heart leaped inside his chest cavity. But like a celestial being that doesn’t heed the wishes of a mortal, she crossed the road with a skip to her step.
Stop! You’re carrying my heart away! I won’t survive you leaving now...Wait for me, my love!
He’s longed countless days for her to say those words to him. Like a sudden rain on a scorched land, her words revived him. He forgot that he was on the bus and rushed to the door as she was disappearing from his view.
He didn’t notice that the bus had started moving. Someone held him back as he tried to get out of the moving bus.
